Leading Australian owned company 1300 Flowers has launched a broader flower range to cater for time pressed consumers.

Australian run and owned company 1300 FLOWERS has launched a broader flower range accompanied by a new range of plants. The move is designed to cater more effectively to time pressed and savvy consumers of flowers and plants - consumers using the web as a trusted source of both retail research and as a convenient purchase channel. The online retail market continues to grow strongly and the online flowers category is no exception.

Working in consultation with their direct florist partners in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, 1300 FLOWERS has created and launched a broader range of flower arrangements as well as a new range of beautiful plants. In brief, the new broader range of flowers covers a wider set of price points from the budget end of the spectrum to the premium end of the spectrum. In addition, there is a better selection of native flowers which stay fresher longer in the Australian climate as well as celebrating our Australian flora.

As flowers are the ideal gift for a wide range of occasions and budgets, the team at 1300 FLOWERS have widened the range to cover lower starting price points to make flowers more affordable to more consumers. Therefore, the new range has a very good selection of flower arrangements under the $50 mark. In fact, there are a number of flower arrangements around the $40 mark within the new range. Consumers, however, can rest assured that even at these lower price points, the flowers are all tastefully designed to make them affordable but not cheap. Of course, there is also an excellent selection of designer flower arrangements for those special gifting occasions such as key birthdays and anniversaries.

The new broader range has an improved selection of native flowers to help celebrate Australian flora. As a result, beautiful native flowers such as banksias, coccineus and dryandra feature more prominently in the new broader range. Furthermore, 1300 FLOWERS also uses "native inspired" locally grown flowers such as proteas, leucadendron sylvan reds and celosia in their arrangements. This is another example of 1300 FLOWERS supporting Australian growers and florists while satisfying consumer trends and tastes. In addition, a number of beautiful plants have been introduced into the range to cover broader gifting occasions. As part of this new plant range, 1300 FLOWERS is offering cyclamen, spathiphyllum and phalaenopsis orchid plants for the first time. Such plants have been very popular in the broader market making ideal gifts for various gifting occasions including thank you, house warmings, birthdays and even Christmas.

At this stage, the other supporting products such as champagne, chocolates, teddy bears, balloons and vases remain the same. These can still be purchased with the flower arrangements or plants to make a gift even more special. Consistent with previous 1300 FLOWERS policy, these products do not incur any additional delivery charges when purchased with a flower arrangement or plant. A standard delivery fee of $10 is charged for delivery anywhere in Australia.
