I am excited to meet fellow entrepreneurs at 1410Q, a unique environment in the D.C. area that fosters thought sharing and innovation.

Sonny Ganguly, Chief Marketing Officer for WeddingWire, is speaking at entrepreneur hotspot 1410Q on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in downtown D.C.

Ganguly currently leads the marketing strategy, customer acquisition, and market development for the popular wedding planning site WeddingWire (http://www.weddingwire.com) – a one-stop shop for engaged couples looking to plan the perfect wedding, whether they are searching for local vendors or staying organized with online wedding planning tools. The WeddingWire Network receives more than 6 million visitors per month.

Before coming to WeddingWire, Ganguly spent time at Wal-Mart where he led marketing, sales, and retail strategy development. Previous to that, Ganguly worked at Kraft Foods, managing the $800 million JELL-O brand. Sonny has structured partnerships with NBC, MTV, Conde Nast, Mattel, Universal, Dole, Reynolds, Costco, Safeway, Blue Nile, and Marriott.

“I am excited to meet fellow entrepreneurs at 1410Q, a unique environment in the D.C. area that fosters thought sharing and innovation,” said Ganguly. “I look forward to sharing the lessons I have learned in developing a brand and building an audience, whether online or off.”

The event will take place at 1410Q, an entrepreneur center located near Dupont Circle that opened in January. The center is designed as a place for entrepreneurs to trade ideas and advance the culture of innovation in D.C.

“Sonny is the perfect person to come talk to entrepreneurs about brand visibility,” said Daniel Odio, cofounder of mobile app developer PointAbout Inc., the company behind 1410Q. “We are thrilled to have him come speak at 1410Q.”

The evening starts at 6 p.m. The event is free, but tickets are limited. RSVP here.
