TAKE NOTE ANNOUNCES ELECTRONIC TIME SHEETS

Take Note Company of Norwalk, CA has announced the release of the first fully functional time entry system running over the internet. All time entries, management and administration of the system is done through a web browser. The Time and Expense Database System, TEDS, will be available December 1st, 1999. TEDS will not only allow employees to enter their time from any computer located anywhere in the world through their web browser, but will also allow administrators to create invoices and do payroll over the internet. Managers will be able to view the time spent on projects and monitor project progress. The system is secured through passwords and several access levels. Employees, managers and administrators have varying degrees of access to the system.

TEDS is unique in that the administration and use of the system takes place entirely over the internet via a web browser such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. This feature eliminates the need for Information Technology personnel to install software on a large number of computers, since most computers come with a browser preinstalled.

TEDS was developed using IBM's Lotus Notes/Domino and is hosted with Take Note Company. To use the system, companies will pay a monthly fee based on the number of users. For larger companies wanting to host the system themselves, TEDS will be available as a complete package.
