jewish.co.uk introduces UK's first and free Jewish Directory for businesses and communal servives

Press Release

London, UK - 25 November 1999 - jewish.co.uk, the UK's first and premier Jewish Web site now offers listings
of Jewish businesses and communal services

New listings services makes it easier to plan a wedding, arrange a
Bar-mitzvah, organise catering for any event or get information on a
charity.

25 November 1999 - jewish.co.uk (www.jewish.co.uk), part of the jewish.net
network and the UK's first Jewish Web site has announced the introduction of
a Jewish Services Directory.

The Jewish Services Directory section, which costs nothing to be listed,
looks to be as popular as other parts of the site with its listings of
people and businesses who can help with catering, provide music and
entertainment for Weddings, Bar-mitzvahs and other events, take photographs
and make videos plus much more. The directory will also be offering listings
of Jewish communal services to help people with their social and personal
needs.

The introduction means users are able to get all the information they need
24 hours a day whenever they need to without having to trawl through
paper-based publications.

"People have been asking for a dedicated services directory and we are
pleased to be able to deliver it," said a jewish.co.uk spokeswoman. "Our
intention since day one way back in 1996 has been to deliver a Jewish Web
site that offers something for all sections of the community and provides a
useful service to them. The new directory will save people time and energy
as it gives them an ever growing list of people, businesses and communal
projects who can provide the Jewish interest services and needs they are
after."

Over the coming weeks, more businesses and communal services will be added
to the directory covering existing areas such as entertainment and catering
plus also new areas including Hebrew Lessons, Jewish Shops, Restaurants,
Bridge and other interests.

Jewish businesses or communal services who wish to be listed free of charge
should send an e-mail with business/service name, address and phone
number to services@jewish.co.uk

Further developments of jewish.co.uk over the next six to eight weeks will
see the launch of a Jewish Dating Service, more message boards, enhanced
coverage of information concerning Jewish festivals plus other services.

Notes to editors:

jewish.co.uk is a privately family funded Web site set up to provide a
resource for the UK Jewish community which numbers around 300,000 people.
jewish.co.uk allows all Jewish charities to benefit from free banner
advertising and all Jewish businesses and organisations are entitled to free
listings on the Jewish Services Directory.

Its goal and key objective is about providing information and services to
meet the personal, religious, cultural and spiritual objectives of Jewish
people working and living in the UK or travelling to the UK. Through the
jewish.net network, jewish.co.uk serves as the first of future sites to
expand into other key Jewish communities around the world which will be
managed and produced locally following the format and style of jewish.co.uk.

The number of UK Jews online is estimated to be around 90,000 people.
