Walk Through the Forest with Artist Stephen Henning
You are invited to enjoy the beauty of spring in the boreal forest: Inspiration Peak Publishing Company is proud to announce the release of three new limited edition prints by Henning.
The series of images are based upon the artist's travels in Voyageur's National Park, along Minnesota's Canadian border. For Henning, "...there's always been a special attraction to those places where I'm surrounded by nature, quiet and alone. As a painter I strive to capture the feelings and impressions of those moments."
In "The Voyageur's Highway" the artist leads the viewer up a wooded portage overlooking the lakes of "canoe country" in the distance. The two companion images, "Showy Lady's Slipper" and "Pink Lady's Slipper", are close-ups of the rare wild orchids that may be found -- at just the right time of year -- on forest trails such as depicted in "The Voyageur's Highway".
The images have been faithfully reproduced by offset lithography on acid-free paper, in dimensions suitable for display in any home or office. The image sizes are: "The Voyageur's Highway" - 11.5 inches (h) by 22 inches (w), "Showy Lady's Slipper" and "Pink Lady's Slipper" - 8 inches by 8 inches. Each image is published in an edition of 750 prints, with 75 artist's proofs. The prints will be signed and ready to ship by April 3. For retail pricing, and to see the print images, visit our website at InspirationPeakPubCo.com, and go to the page titled "New Releases." Orders received by telephone before April will receive a 30% discount. To order, call toll free: 1-888-978-2300. Dealer inquiries are solicited.
An award-winning graphic designer and creative director in the Twin Cities for almost 20 years, Stephen Henning has been committed to painting since 1990. His works hang in private, corporate and public collections across North America. Mentored since childhood by Ernest Oberholtzer (cofounder of The Wilderness Society), Henning strives to paint the landscape in its untamed state. "I want people to experience my paintings as if they are there, in them. Each painting is based on actual first-hand experience: I have stood in a specific location and been part of that place. Whether painting a close-up detail from a woodland stream, a boundary waters trail, or a high plains vista, I try to convey a sense of place, hopefully giving each viewer the sense of a very specific vantage point to the image."
