Architectural Firm Launches a Free E-Newsletter on Universal Design
Cash-Callahan & Co., Inc., announces an electronic version of its newsletter, Facility Fast Facts®. This free weekly newsletter brings information about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and barrier-free design solutions to the desktop.
The Americans with Disabilities Act has been in place for almost a decade, but many buildings and businesses are still not fully accessible. An architectural firm specializing in universal design, Cash-Callahan works with companies nationwide and has specialized in accessible design for a decade. By making this newsletter widely available, the firm hopes to raise awareness that many physical barriers still create difficulties for people with disabilities.
Edited by Roselyn M. Callahan, RA, a principal in the firm, the newsletter covers ADA updates, discusses solutions for common types of architectural barriers and examines ways to provide reasonable accommodation in the workplace. Ms. Callahan is also the author of the Accessible Design Handbook, a hands-on workbook for assessing ADA facility compliance. For a free subscription, e-mail subscribe@adaservices.com or go to the Cash-Callahan website, www.cashcallahan.com for more information.
