London Conference attracts top HR Directors
London -
Multinational corporate human resource directors from the US and Europe will
be attending and participating in the upcoming EURO-ATLANTIC INTERNATIONAL
HR
CONFERENCE ON CAREER MANAGEMENT & EMPLOYEE MOBILITY, in London, March 23 and
24th. This conference will be the 4th Europe-based meeting and the 3rd
London
event produced by the US-based organization, CRN Corporate Relocation News.
The historic Charing Cross Hotel, near Trafalgar Square, is the site of the
conference. Managing Director, Edwin Cohen, says he expects to sellout the
smaller venue which seats 140 comfortably.
A trade show component will display the latest information resources
available for transferees and their corporate managers.
Featured speakers are coming from Paris, Hong Kong, Prague, Moscow, Hong
Kong, US and from greater London. Included are key representatives from
Lucent Technologies, EM Industries/Merck AG, Dow Chemical, BellSouth
International, Cisco Systems, Lear Corporation, and more.
Topics will include a lengthy session called, "Policy & Practice" and will

A timely topic will focus on the impact mergers & acquisitions to be
discussed by David Greenspan, a well-known author and consultant; Robert

Union Carbide Corporation and the impact on succession planning and
retention
during this tight labor timeframe.
Cisco System's Kumar Kymal will discuss their torrid acquisition surge and
how compensation & benefit planning is impacted by acquisitions. Cy Morris
of
the Lear Corporation will talk about their international program.
Thomas Hadley, representing the Confederation of British Industries, will
speak on "European Labor Markets & Employee Mobility."
A major family problem exists for transferred executives who have
well-qualified, professional working spouses. This topic will thoroughly
discussed and answers will be provided by legal experts Austin Fragomen of
