The agency will specialize in entertainment projects with urban themes and ethnic subject matter.

The new companys roster includes television clients, CBS and Columbia TriStar Television. The DuVernay Agency also represents individual film projects for Miramax Films, Trimark Pictures and Palm Pictures. In addition, the firms corporate clients include Xenon Entertainment Group and Agency West.

The DuVernay Agency offices are based in Los Angeles' Miracle Mile district. In New York, the firm has formed an affiliation with Bazan Entertainment Marketing, Inc., a New Jersey-based marketing and public relations firm specializing in films by minority filmmakers. Bazan's client roster includes directors Spike Lee and Malcolm Lee, Touchstone Pictures, Universal Pictures, USA Films and Columbia Pictures.

While at mPRm, DuVernay handled television, film, home video and corporate publicity campaigns for Miramax Films, October Films, Disney Channel, Viacom Television, Artisan Home Entertainment, Dreamworks Home Video, Warner Home Video and MGM Consumer Products.
