Washington, DC [March 23, 2000]- What's the best kept secret in government? We are talking about people who are making a difference in communities across the United States and around the world.
Seven of the best kept secrets in government will be honored on Monday, May 1, 2000 at the "Breakfast of Champions" on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. This annual event is sponsored by GEICO.
Public Service Excellence Award recipients exemplify the highest standards of public service. Moreover, their programs and projects represent innovative and effective models of outstanding service delivery to the American public.
Public Service Excellence Awards (PSEAs) are sponsored by Public Employees Roundtable and co-sponsored by the National Association of Counties, The International City/County Management Association, the National Governors' Association, the National League of Cities, the U.S. Conference of Mayors, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and the Federal Executive Boards. These national awards are given in the following categories: Federal, State, City, County, Intergovernmental, and Community Service.
