"BOINKING JOHN MALKOVICH" SETS NEW MONDAY TRAFFIC RECORD

LOS ANGELES, April 25 -- The Daily Boink!, LLC announced today that its April 24 boink!, "Boinking John Malkovich," set a new Monday traffic record on the firm's flagship Web site, The Daily Boink! (http://www.dailyboink.com).

The record-setting boink!, submitted by Caleb-Malachy Werner of Toronto, Canada, logged 50 pageviews in its first day of posting. "Boinking John Malkovich" features a medium-sized cutout of John Malkovich's head getting boinked by a smaller John Malkovich head, echoing the surreal hilarity of the sequence in "Being John Malkovich" in which John Malkovich enters his own portal.

The site's all-time highest traffic-getter is still "Mexiboink!", which was posted Friday, April 14, and has received 278 pageviews thus far. "Mexiboink!" features an iconic Mexican cartoon character wandering in the desert and receiving a boink on the head from a potted cactus.

"We were really concerned that 'Boinking John Malkovich' wouldn't do well because of the time that has elapsed since the movie's release," said Elsa Signore, VP Editorial of The Daily Boink! "I guess we were wrong. Now we're re-orienting the site's content plan to include more topical boinks!"

As part of the site's new direction, Signore and her staff posted "Boinking Elian Gonzalez" on April 25. "We really think this approach will boost traffic and help us capture a greater share of the boink-to-boink online space," she commented.
