AdForum.com To Offer Customizable CD-ROM Presentations to Advertising Industry at Fraction of Current Costs

New York (PRWEB) May 6, 2000 -- AdForum.com, the first worldwide portal for the advertising community (that includes AdFolio, the largest searchable online library of advertising creative work from around the globe) has launched Agency Portfolio CD-ROM, a service that allows advertising agencies to quickly produce customized presentations of their creative work in the CD-ROM format. Using a drag and drop tool ad agencies can produce multimedia presentations in a matter of minutes with a user friendly tool that requires no technical knowledge of video. New software and a semi-automated process makes the new tool available at very low cost.

Agency Portfolio lets the agency prepare and save the presentation in a matter of minutes. Users could even do it in the cab on the way to the call. They can reorganize the order of commercials or print executions to meet any unexpected show of interest. If a potential client asks for a second look at a particular execution: a simple click and it is done. No more re-winding in the middle of a presentation."

The Agency Portfolio CD-ROM is entirely cross platform and will work on any PC or Macintosh purchased during the past few last years, worldwide.

An Agency Portfolio CD-ROM can be produced and delivered within a month of receiving creative work from agencies. Sixty executions of creative work from up to 30 reels can be included. The cost is $7000 and includes customization of the CD Interface (color selection, logo placement); entry of all the credits on the CD-ROM; and Gold Master of the CD. AdForum can also handle printing of the CD-ROM including 2-color screen printing on the surface of the CD; 4-color cover; 8-page, 4 color insert booklet; crystal box and cellophane wrap. Bulk orders can drive the price down by 50%.

The proprietary Adforum.com CD-ROM interface allows agencies to then customize each CD presentation based on clients needs using the drag and drop technology. The cost to an agency of producing a similar product in inhouse or outsourcing to a design studio ranges from $40,000 to $60,000.
