AIMR LAUNCHES INTERACTIVE, GLOBAL JOB-SEARCH SERVICE FOR INVESTMENT INDUSTRY

Charlottesville, Va., USA, May 16, 2000-In response to increased demands by employers and recruiters worldwide for highly qualified investment-industry job candidates, the Association for Investment Management and Research has introduced a new interactive job-search database that, within just days of going live," already has 3,300 registered job seekers and 250 posted openings for investment professionals.

By visiting www.aimr.org/jobline.html, any employer around the globe can use AIMR JobLine to reach thousands of job-seeking AIMR members -- 75% of whom are Chartered Financial AnalystTM (CFA®) charterholders. AIMR members are experienced portfolio managers, financial analysts and other investment professionals who annually recommit to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct. CFA charter-holders are AIMR members who, among other requirements, have passed a rigorous series of examinations in investment analysis and decision-making over at least three years and have at least three years of job experience. (The service is not accessible by non-member job seekers.)

· Job search control -- Investment professionals may store as many as five versions of their resume into personal accounts. With just the click of a mouse, they can submit resumes electronically to employers. The members account automatically keeps track of jobs to which they have already applied.
· Skill and qualification postings for employer-initiated searches -- By using a Post My Profile" feature, AIMR members can post information about their skills and qualifications and let employers come to them. Job seekers are not asked to disclose any personal information, so their identity remains confidential. Members will receive an email from interested companies so they can decide which companies to contact.
· A Notify Me!" system to locate positions matching pre-selected criteria -- AIMR members can save their search criteria in Notify Me!" and the system will scan through new job listings each day to locate jobs that match their specifications. Job seekers will receive an email when there is a match. They can then follow an embedded link in the e-mail message to view matching career opportunities and apply to them directly.
