ABAS: Industry goes online!
ABAS at the eBusiness Congress - 25/26 September 2000, Bonn,
Germany
eBusiness is changing the economy. A great opportunity for those small and medium-sized businesses - where solutions for various processes are currently cropping up, facilitating an improved quality of service, faster work cycles and global business deals. So what exactly is hiding behind eBusiness? How can a company go about using it? What opportunities and risks are lingering behind eBusiness? You can find out the answer at the first eBusiness congress being held by the 'Moderne Industrie' publishing company and the 'Produktion' weekly magazine.
The congress will be held on 25/26 September 2000 in the former parliament building in Bonn. Speakers from the industry will be demonstrating - by means of examples - how their companies have successfully introduced eBusiness models. Here practical experience is at the forefront.
Practical talks with the focus on eBusiness:
Among other things, the topics will include the following: the Internet as a platform for sales and service, portal concepts from the car
and chemical industry, security on the net, legal matters, financing, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), SCM (Supply Chain Management) as well as the significance and prospects of eBusiness. The experts are from companies such as Adolf Würth GmbH, Osram, ABB, Herlitz, Cargolifter.
Workshops and IT trade fair:
Workshops and an exhibition with partners from the IT industry finish off the program. They offer the participants at the congress an extensive opportunity to discuss and obtain information relating to eBusiness. ABAS Software AG will present its software solutions at a stand located in the foyer of the building. The workshops will then take place after the talks. ABAS Software AG workshop topic is "Small to medium-sized businesses - conquering the net with TROJA".
'TROJA', the ABAS eBusiness solution facilitates Internet business transactions between several companies. Features will include: demonstrations on an e-shop with product catalogue and online ordering, order tracing and other information services. The product catalogue provides clear information about the products. Drawings and video clips can easily be incorporated for product presentation. The customer can easily navigate through the various product groups within the entire supply range.
ERP and eBusiness - a strong alliance:
'TROJA', the eBusiness software, can be integrated e.g. into the ERP solution 'abas-EKS' from the same company. At any point in time, up to date ERP data like price or delivery period are available in the TROJA product catalogue on the Internet. Authorised business partners have access permission to the sales order data which was released. The order is automatically reported straight away to the sales department in abas-EKS once the online order has been placed in the shopping basket. In addition to e-commerce functions, TROJA also supports business processes in the areas of SCM (Supply Chain Management) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management).
