NEW ROLE FOR FOUNDER DIRECTOR AT FIRST INDEX
First Index Ltd, the leading information provider for the UK engineering industry, has appointed Malcolm Murray to the position of Managing Director. Murray was a founder director of the company eight years ago and has been Sales Director for the past six years.
Murray replaces Hans Wigart, who moves up to Group Managing Director, a position created by the rapid expansion of First Index into new markets. The company is incorporated in the USA, with two offices, as well as in Finland and Germany. Wigart says of the moves, as new information products come on stream, such as the EXCHANGE internet platform for buyers and suppliers, a strong management structure is necessary to keep First Index at the leading edge and to maintain the high levels of service our customers have come to expect."
During Malcolm Murrays years with the company he has demonstrated a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and enhancing the companys excellent growth record. His knowledge of the engineering supply chain in the UK makes him the obvious choice to succeed Wigart.
