AudioLoad.com secures PonyCanyon Music Catalog

Singapore 15 June 2000 -- AudioLoad.com and PonyCanyon Music (Malaysia) today sealed their long standing relations with an agreement that sees the two companies working hand-in hand to promote Malaysian artistes through AudioLoad.com.

This newly formed alliance with PonyCanyon Music grants AudioLoad.com the right to digitize, convert and adapt albums from PonyCanyon Music for use on http://www.audioload.com. The agreement also extends to AudioLoad.com the online retail rights of the licensed materials.

PonyCanyon Music is among the regions most respected record labels with a strong stable of artistes and we are pleased to have formalized our long standing working relations. This paves the way for greater co-operation between AudioLoad.com and PonyCanyon Music in the promotion of Asian musicians, worldwide, said Tay Eng Wah, Chief Executive Officer, AudioLoad.com. We believe this agreement is just the first of many more winning propositions for the artistes, the music community, PonyCanyon Music."

The licensing agreement covers the use of PonyCanyon Musics catalog of more than 200 tracks by some 20 Malaysian artistes. All the tracks will be made available as Windows Media and MP3 files for streaming and sale on AudioLoad.com.

On PonyCanyon Musics foray into the digital frontier with AudioLoad.com to promote local talents on the Internet, Cheah Mun Kit, Deputy Managing Director, PonyCanyon Music (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd noted, The last two years has seen a tremendous increase in the usage of the Internet and it is only logical for us to move into this exciting new frontier to promote our local talents to the world.
