artAffordArt, a new venture, based in Gloucester, is now online. AffordArt is dedicated to the promotion of students and recent graduates art work whilst making original art works accessible to all. At AffordArt one can buy or view a varied range of new, often innovative, art from up and coming artists.AffordArt developed from the realisation that art students often find an audience for their work elusive. AffordArt provides such a forum. Alongside the needs of artists it also caters to the needs of customers. The air of elitism which can surround the art world, as well as the assumed high prices put a great many people off both visiting galleries and purchasing work.    Hence the name AffordArt. The artist decides the price of their art.The artists presently on the web site are mainly recent graduates. Work is welcomed from all art students, foundation level upwards.The art is varied. From Caroline Oakes work that 'evolved from a fascination of the medieval/gothic beast using etching, aquatint and
drypoint, to Michelle Todds, who uses mixed media and whose interest lies in putting 'a series of objects into an environment.
