Arlington Gateway Introduces Its New Commercial Offices To The Internet
Washington, DC -- July 26, 2000 -- The JBG Companies today announced the launch of a comprehensive new website highlighting Arlington Gateway, their mixed-use office/hotel/retail/residential development planned for Ballston. The website launch signals the next phase in the marketing of this much-anticipated high-rise environment.
Arlington Gateway is set at Glebe Road and Fairfax Drive, immediately off I-66. The complex is less than two blocks from the current entrance to the Ballston Metro station, and a new dedicated Metro entrance will be constructed onsite as part of Arlington Gateways plan. Designed by the architectural firm of Weihe Design Group (WDG), the three-tower, high-rise development will include a high-tech office tower, an upscale hotel tower, and a luxury high-rise apartment building, all surrounding a landscaped center courtyard. The office component is being marketed first; the office tower features floorplates of approximately 28,000 square feet, designed for large, established businesses. Rents will be lower than those typically found in downtown Washingtons Central Business District.
The new website is targeted toward commercial real estate brokers and executives of companies seeking new space. The site outlines the projects master plan, explaining Arlington Gateways many cross-benefits" -- businesses can accommodate guests in the on-site hotel; workers can live walking distance from the office in the apartment tower; executives, residents and hotel guests can shop and dine within the development; and so on. The office tower is highlighted on the website, with detailed building specifications and virtual tours. Interested site visitors can sign up to receive e-mailed project updates, and members of the press are given access to fact sheets, press releases and reproduction-quality images of the Arlington Gateway project. Most importantly, visitors can also contact leasing agents directly via the website.
In developing Arlington Gateway, JBG has worked closely with several political entities that seek to maximize Ballstons potential as a 24-hour" commercial and residential setting. Arlington Gateway is expected to be completed within the next three years.
