Allfinanz to Discuss "Leveraging the Internet for Life & Health"
At e-Insurance Conference
NEW YORK, August 16, 2000 - Who will be the winners and losers in the life and health insurance Internet and portal business? How will the business processes for life and health work online? How will products and margins need to change?
These and other questions will be answered when Allfinanz Inc. presents a workshop titled "Leveraging Internet Technologies to Expand Health and Life Insurance Distribution," at the e-Health & Life Insurance Summit Oct. 17-18 in New Orleans.
Rick Heil and Les Cantlay of Allfinanz Inc., whose innovative software allows insurance companies and banks to automate the sale of life insurance and annuities via the Internet, will discuss how traditional life and health insurance companies can harness technology to create new business opportunities on the Internet. Other topics will include ways these companies can add the Web to their distribution channels without alienating agents, as well as a blueprint for future-proofing their distribution strategy.
"The ability of consumers to comparison shop and the convenience of purchasing insurance at home are compelling reasons for embracing the Internet as yet another vehicle to reach and retain customers," says Heil, Allfinanz's executive vice president for strategic development. "The workshop will provide practical and applicable strategies for selling insurance on the Internet."
The e-Health & Life Insurance Summit, presented by the International Quality & Productivity Center (IQPC), will be held in the Wyndham New Orleans at Canal Place. The Allfinanz workshop will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on October 16, prior to the official start of the summit. Other sponsors/presenters at the summit include Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, AFLAC, TIAA-CREF, Quicken Insurance, National Association of Health Underwriters and SimplyHealth.com.
