DIYonline.com Adds New Bath and Fence Design Tools to Internets Premier Home Improvement Web Site
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
August 23, 2000
TUCSON, AZ and LEXINGTON, KY- August 23, 2000 - DIYonline.com, the Internets premier home improvement project design site for Do-It-Yourselfers, announced today that they have added two new home design projects to their unique Web site incorporating powerful, state-of-the-art Design Tool software applications. The new applications, which are free to the consumer online, can be found on the companys web site located at www.DIYonline.com.
The all-new Bath Designer will offer much of the same advanced 3-D rendering technology as already found on the Web sites Kitchen Designer. These unique Design Tools enable consumers to custom-design kitchen and bathroom layout arrangements and floor plans according to their exact specifications and product preferences. Currently employed on the site, the new Kitchen Designer software has received excellent initial reviews from several thousand users who have already designed kitchen plans using the new software application, which was only recently added to the site in late June.
The Fence Designer is a flexible, user-friendly program that works very similar to the sites most popular Design Tool, Deck Designer. DIYers are taken step-by-step through the fence design and planning process, which allows them to customize the project according to their exact requirements. The Design Tools do the calculations automatically and can dramatically reduce the intimidation factor that can be associated with such complex building projects. Upon receiving the complete specifications and other required information, DIYonline.com sends back, within minutes, an Email containing a 3-D rendered drawing of the finished fencing project, detailed instructions and cut lists, plans and tips for success, and a complete itemized list of all required materials and tools needed to complete the project. A list of local retailers arranged according to zip code is also provided to ease the buying process.
With the addition of our two latest Design Tools into the DIYonline.com tool box, we remain committed to the promise we have made to our growing community of DIYers to continually bring forth new and ever-improving products and services to help them turn their home improvement dreams into reality," said Michael H. Heisler, President and CEO of DIYonline.com.
The addition of our Bath and Fence Design Tools certainly brings us one step closer to ensuring that DIYonline.com is, and will remain, the Internets premier home improvement project Web site," added Heisler. We are currently working on several other very practical projects and design programs that our community members have told us they would like to see on the site and we hope to add these selections to our online offerings before the end of the year."
Beta versions of the Bath and Fence Designers were sneak-previewed to visitors stopping by the DIYonline.com booth at the recently held 2000 National Hardware Show in Chicagos McCormick Place. Visitors were genuinely amazed and impressed with the crisp, 3-dimensional quality of the final plan specifications output and the overall ease of use during the design and layout phases.
