GarrInk Development Founder Arrested!
SEATTLE, WA -- August 28, 2000 -- Just after noon last Thursday, August 24, 2000, GarrInk Developments Creative Director/Founder was arrested and detained, pending bail. His mug shot can be seen here, http://www.gamehouse.com/jail/jail.html.
MDA marshals arrived at the scene, and with some difficulty, contained Ben Exworthy and placed him in a limo, where he was chauffeured to the Columbia Tower Club for a business brunch with other Seattle area business people. Mr. Exworthy has been a main target of a high-level undercover sting operation, involving aiding and abetting the interests of a local area charity, the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He was charged with a first-degree felony: goodwill.
Ben was released from custody after raising bail, all of which was donated by GarrInk employees for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The "Bail" money will help support thousands of individuals affected by neuromuscular diseases by providing clinic services, support groups, research grants, helpful information to adults and children with MD as well as sending a child to MDA summer camp at Camp Waskowitz in North Bend for a week.
