London England meets American Roller Derby!

London, England get's an injection of American Roller Derby!

Right in the heart of London a 40ft X 20ft digital video screen plays host to Speed Queen and the Bay City Bombers.
The 5 mins. video is part of Europe's largest digital art exhibition, screening 24 hrs. a day, in front of millions of viewers.

Speed Queen, a former motorcycle courier, has swapped the hazardous streets of central London for the fast and frenzied world of American Roller Derby. Her opponents are the fierce women of the Bay City Bombers, America's favourite derby team.

Speed Queen is produced and directed by London based video artist Ulrike Kubatta. She's studied at Central St. Martins College of Art & Design and the school of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her videos and installation works have been exhibited internationally to wide acclaim.
