YesVideo.com Offers Webcasts for Windows Movie Maker Users

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- September 13, 2000 -- YesVideo.com, the leading service provider for consumers who want to manage their home videos, announced today that it offers a complete, affordable service for posting, customizing and sharing home videos on CD and the web that works with Microsofts new operating system, Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me). The company has been named one of the hosting providers for users wanting to post and share the home videos they have edited through Windows Movie Maker, a new feature in Windows Me.

"Now everyone can be a Steven Spielberg," said Sai-Wai Fu, co-founder and CEO of YesVideo.com. "By using Windows Movie Maker and then posting the streaming videos on YesVideos site, video enthusiasts can easily share their most exciting home movies with friends and family. We are committed to helping home users unleash the millions of videos gathering dust on family room shelves. These priceless memories can now be shared all around the world."

"YesVideo shares Microsofts commitment to enabling home users to take advantage of the digital entertainment explosion in an easy, convenient and affordable way," said Art Pettigrue, product manager for Windows Me at Microsoft Corp. "YesVideo understands that home video producers are not interested in tedious or expensive processes. Home users want to quickly and effectively move video onto the computer -- and then onto the Internet -- so it can be widely shared."

In addition to offering free hosting, YesVideo has committed to offering users of Windows Movie Maker a free trial of its own service. Using YesVideo.coms patent-pending videotape-to-CD transfer service, which normally costs $14.95 per hour of video, will save users the cost of purchasing and the hassle of installing video digitization equipment to get full use of Windows Movie Maker.

Once videos have been edited on Windows Movie Maker, they can be posted on YesVideo.com for webcasting at no charge. To share their video clips with others, home users can send out customized e-mail invitations from YesVideos site to their friends and family providing them with the proper link to view the webcast.

YesVideo is providing web hosting at no charge for Windows Movie Maker users for the first 50 megabytes of digital storage per account. There is also no charge for webcast viewing for files of up to 150 megabytes per month. YesVideo has committed to offering this service for free to Windows Movie Maker users for at least 18 months.
