Millennial Discounts Still Available;
Up to 750,000 Expected for Century-Ending Party

LAS VEGAS, NV (Dec. 30, 1999) -- When CNN and America On Line announce a New Years party in Las Vegas, thousands rush to attend.
   Stimulated by widespread media reports and Internet coverage of deep discounts for hotel rooms in Las Vegas over New Years, thousands of party animals are calling the Las Vegas Tourist Bureau for turn-of-the-century bargains. Luckily, callers to (800) 522-9555 are saving hundreds of dollars by holding off until the last moment to reserve a room as many resorts on the Las Vegas Strip have slashed their rates and abandoned required stays of more than one night.
   Calls to the Las Vegas Tourist Bureau for reservations for New Years accommodations traditionally dwindle in volume the week between Christmas and New Years. But this year, global news coverage of millennium-related hotel availability has stimulated a huge amount of interest among vacationers eager to be at a world-renown, once-in-a-lifetime party. Ample airline seats are further enabling vacationers from throughout the nation to hop a last-minute flight to whats shaping up as the planets wildest New Years celebration. People driving into Las Vegas can reserve a room at the Las Vegas Tourist Bureaus visitor center at 5191 Las Vegas Blvd. South (exit 34/Blue Diamond Road off I-15, then a left turn onto The Strip to the world-famous Welcome to Las Vegas" sign).
   Since Christmas, phone calls to the Las Vegas Tourist Bureau are running 200% above last years volume. Reservations staff has been called in to work overtime to keep up with the increased number of calls. Internet-savvy bargain-hunters can surf to www.lvtb.com to lock-in a reservation.
   For up-to-the-millennium reservations and throughout 2000, call the Las Vegas Tourist Bureau at (800) 522-9555. Further delay in getting a room for New Years is not advised.
