Angelic Announces Green Light
San Diego, CA. September 28, 2000 — Angelic Entertainment, the San Diego-based entertainment group, gave an official green light" to its first feature-length film currently entitled The Month Of August" (www.angelicentertainment.com/august.htm). The coastal city of San Diego sets the scene for this lighthearted romantic-comedy about a man looking for love and afraid of what he might find. The Month Of August" is the first in a series of seven movies fully funded by Angelic Entertainment. Production offices have been open since mid-august with principle photography commencing on October 10, 2000.
Casting is currently being completed in Beverly Hills and San Diego, California. Angelic has announced MacKenzie Astin in the male lead role. MacKenzie, the son of actor John Astin and actress Patty Duke-Astin, has starred and performed in over 20 films and television projects, including Iron Will", The Evening Star", Selma, Lord, Selma" and Stranger than Fiction." A favorite on Internet fansites, MacKenzie is the first in a series of popular names to be cast in this film. Upon finalizing the contracts, the entire cast will be revealed to the public.

Angelic Entertainment will also begin work on a The Month Of August" soundtrack featuring many local musical acts signed to Angelics soundtrack arm as Angelic Music Artists. Angelic is setting a pattern to be duplicated over its next six movies, which is, keeping productions in San Diego and using Angelic Music Artists to fill out the soundtracks.

Many movies and television shows use San Diego for location shots and then take the rest of the production and the majority of the budget back up to Hollywood."
