INTERNATIONAL YACHT CHEFS SHARE RECIPES


(St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands) . . . . . . Noted cookbook author and publisher, Capt Jan Robinson, announces the release of STORE TO SHORE, the eighth book in her popular SHIP TO SHORE cookbook series.
    
   Capt. Jan Robinson has collected more than 400 recipes from 50 international yacht chefs. STORE TO SHORE is unique; it contains 48 full day menus, recipes, and detailed shopping lists, together with helpful hints and tips on planning and provisioning. Jan even included a "where to shop suggestions" guide to some exotic ports of the world, especially in the Caribbean where thousands of yachts cruise each year.
   
   Jan become a cookbook author when her charter guests were constantly amazed that she could turn out gourmet meals from a galley the size of most peoples closets, and they were always asking for her recipes. She found that chefs on other yachts were always being asked for their galley secrets, too. So, Jan decided to collect the recipes, hints, and tips, and publish them in a cookbook, SHIP TO SHORE I, now in its twelfth printing.

   STORE TO SHORE will appeal not only to charter yacht chefs, but also to those who entertain at home and want to keep pace with todays cooking trends. Whether entertaining on land or at sea, the readers need only decide which contributing chefs menu planner most appeals

   Jan, a native of New Zealand, shuttles between residences in the U.S. Virgin Islands and North Carolina. Robinson is an accredited member of the American Institute of Wine and Food and holds certificates from the Cordon Bleu Cooking School, the Ritz Cooking School and the Culinary Institute of America. Jan is a much sought-after host and judge of cooking competitions. She is a celebrity on the international boat show circuit who is admired as much for her culinary expertise as for her amusing anecdotes as a charter yacht chef.
