Virtual Assistant Group Kicks Off Annual Membership Drive
Los Angeles, California – October 4, 2000 – The International Virtual Assistants Association (IVAA), the standard professional association for virtual assistants, kicks off its annual membership drive by awarding its 100th member a free one year membership to the organization. The winner was Paulette Yvetter Clark of Atlanta, Georgia.
Were looking to our members for referrals to increase our ranks. We should double our size in no time," said IVAA President Terri Lee Romine. Every member is encouraged to refer more virtual assistants.
The next big celebration will kick off when the members number 150, then again at 200. A virtual open house will take place with members from all over the globe able to participate and chat online. The referring member, as well as the new person, will receive recognition and prizes to be announced later.
One of the prizes on hand has been donated by Spud City Software Company, the creators of Trax Time, a time clock program used by many virtual assistants to keep track of time spent on projects. The company has donated several registered versions of the Desktop Dozen for IVAA, as well as offering a 10% discount for purchase exclusively to IVAA members until January 1, 2001. The Desktop Dozen has 12 different tools useful by virtual assistants as well as anyone who sits in front of a computer any length of time.
