Dateline: Perth, Western Australia,         October 7, 2000.
Who:   Dr Daniel Zimmerman
What:   Ancient Egyptian Stone
When:    Friday 16th January 1998
Where:   Cairo, Egypt
Why:   Discovery kept secret until now

Dr Daniel Zimmerman, an Archaeologist, re-discovered the Ancient Egyptian stone tablet believed to have come from the Stepped Pyramid of Djoser which was built 4,600 years ago. This very significant artifact named Pierre dImhotep" had become lost in the 1820s. It was originally removed from the pyramid by Napoleons troops in 1798. In 1816 John Lewis Burckhardt studied the hieroglyphs on the stone and translated them to mean "The key to all human knowledge .."
It was found in an underground storage cellar that has not been used since 1912. The discovery has remained a secret until now because of a non-disclosure clause. Photographs of the stone taken in 1998 are available.

The Egyptian authorities have been
uncooperative in providing further information.

A story about the discovery has been written by Dr John Flynn and made into a MIDI-e-Book.A preview of the book can be seen at:
http://www.xerotron.com/StoryPreview1.html

The author has produced a computer program based on the Archaeologists observations.
It is called the Xerotron.

A free multi- media show concerning the discovery can be downloaded for free at: http://www.xerotron.com/Bshow.html

Hollywood producers have shown interest in the story.
