Who is this Carolyn Richards that is scheduled to perform in Nashville on Nov 1st??

Country recording artist, Carolyn Richards, of Veto, Ohio, is scheduled to perform during the Christian Country Music Association's "Convention 2000" at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Nashville, Tennessee on the evening of November 1, 2000. This is a special "showcase" presentation that will be witnessed by a number of people in the music industry.

This opportunity follows the release this past summer of the song "She's Got You" from Carolyn's "Tribute To Patsy Cline" album. The songs she will sing in Nashville are also from the album and will include one that Carolyn wrote titled, "I Can't Tell Him Goodbye". This song tells the story of a woman finally breaking free of a relationship after nearly 30 years.

Carolyn Richards has been singing all her life. She was once offered a contract but turned it down to stay at home and raise three children. As the youngest was grown, she turned again to her music and started a band she called "Last Chance" because she felt it was her last chance.

Carolyn Richards Last Chance Band performed at fraternal organizations and regional fairs and festivals for nearly ten years. Some special appearances include: opening for Brooks & Dunn; opening for "Gary Lewis and the Playboys"; and, being spotlighted with Jeannie Kendall (appearing between Jeannie's two performances). Carolyn and her band also appeared several years in a row at: Belpre Homecoming, Belpre, Ohio; Noble County Fair, Caldwell, Ohio; Volcano Days, Mountwood Park, WV; and the Frontier CB Roundup, Marietta, Ohio. They also appeared at a number of other fairs & festivals in the region.

Carolyn decided to let the band go after their last performance on August 28, 1999. She then went into the studio and recorded her album, "Tribute To Patsy Cline" which was finally released in February, 2000. A new act has been created using soundtracks with the help of her husband, Dave Butcher, and newcomer, Wanda Green. This act has been well received in a number of venues to date.
