Brands Strengthened with New, Web-based Tool
BrandMuscle Puts Power in the Hands of its Customers
(Cleveland, OH) -- It happens all the time: a corporation spends millions of dollars carefully crafting an advertising campaign only to have its message distorted by a local franchisee or distributor.
But thats about to change thanks to a new company called BrandMuscle, Inc. As an Application Service Provider (ASP), BrandMuscle enables advertisers and their partners to easily and securely control advertising assembly, versioning, reporting (such as co-op management) and digital assets all in one central, online location. At the local level, franchisees and distributors can access the system to customize their advertisements by selecting from pre-approved images, coupons and customer locations without compromising the integrity of the brand.
During the course of my marketing career, I have always faced the same problem,"
says CEO and founder, Philip Alexander. How do you allow your franchisees and local dealers and distributors the flexibility to tell their unique story while maintaining the corporate brand image?"
Alexanders response: harness his brand management experience and the latest technological innovations including Oracle 8i, XML, and Java, to build a powerful suite of web-based applications that empower clients with the ability to control brand images and messages at a corporate level, while localizing core elements of individual advertisements.

What you get is a consistent global brand with the flexibility to cater to individual market needs," says Alexander. You also get a system that eliminates costly duplication of effort and errors associated with traditional manual processes."
Prior to founding BrandMuscle, Alexander spent more than nineteen years in senior-level marketing management positions with national and international retail organizations. Most recently, he served as vice president of brand management for Pearle Vision, a leading optical retailer with over 1,300 locations in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Western Europe. Before that, Alexander spent time with national retailers CSK Auto and Western Auto (a division of Sears, Roebuck and Company).
Initial seed capital for BrandMuscle was provided by the Reach Internet Incubator in Boston. For more detailed information on BrandMuscle and its products, visit the companys web site at www.brandmuscle.com.
