PT & The Ghost Notes Take Over the Airwaves
Chapel Hill, NC, October 19, 2000 — PT & The Ghost Notes hit the Greenville, North Carolina airwaves with a bang on October 1, 2000, debuting with their hot track, Carpe Diem". The audience and radio response was great, indicating a bright future for this hot new group. Again on October 15, the bands tracks, Not For Sale" and Park and Ride" were spun, much to the delight of the listeners. Said 99X (WXNR) deejay Brett Lupton, …They are very good. I particularly like this band…you guys have a different sound, something that this world needs. All too often, bands are cookie-cutter and not unique, but you guys certainly defy that trend. I would love to do an interview with you sometime…" His station has been flooded with calls and emails from listeners who enjoyed these songs and requested more tracks from PT and his group.
The bands debut CD entitled "I Know What I Want" was released in May, 2000 in conjunction with Alarm Records of Chapel Hill. Since that time, PT & The Ghost Notes have appeared in several gigs promoting this project and are already working on the next CD. PT is currently relocating to Nashville, Tennessee and, after replacing a few of his Ghost Notes who chose to remain in North Carolina, he and the band will be playing various gigs, recording, and planning a promotional tour. Details will be available as they develop on the website.
Similar in style to Edwin McCain, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and the Barenaked Ladies, PT & The Ghost Notes boast a new alternative sound certain to capture many ears. Capturing the eye is another certainty. The CD cover features the already controversial photo of the back of a nude woman kneeling at a fireplace. Inside, the astute listener will find words of wisdom to light this path we call life. The average listener will simply find great music from a talented group well worth the listen.
Currently, the compact disc is available directly from PT through his web site, ghostnotes.com.
