Quality Improvement Award Presented to Eight Members of The Metalworking Resource Group
The State of Indiana Quality Improvement Award is presented to manufacturers that have achieved measurable progress in improving quality. Ameri-Tek Manufacturing, Inc., Dual Machine Corporation, Elco Textron Greensburg Metals Division, Fountaintown Forge, Inc., Hamblen Gage Corporation, Industrial Component Parts, Inc. (ICP), MAMetal, and Yorktown Precision Technologies received the 2000 State of Indiana Quality Improvement Award.
Quality certifications and achievements by the eight members of The Metalworking Resource Group this year demonstrate their commitment to continuous improvement. Three of the companies achieved ISO 9000 certification: Fountaintown Forge, Hamblen Gage Corporation and Yorktown Precision Technologies. Three other companies were QS-9000 certified: Ameri-Tek Manufacturing, Elco Textron and MAMetal. Dual Machine Corporation, an Indianapolis maker of screw machine parts, received the State of Indiana Quality Improvement Award because of benchmarking and supplier performance processes implemented this year. ICP received the State of Indiana Quality Improvement Award because of their achievements in teamwork, human resources and labor/management. This is the second year in a row that ICP and Yorktown Precision Technologies, have received the State of Indiana Quality Improvement Award.
The Metalworking Resource Group (The Group) is an alliance of Indiana metalworking service companies. Members of The Group provide outstanding value and service to OEMs and Tier One suppliers. This Website helps engineers and purchasing professionals find quality metalworking service companies for custom component manufacturing, prototyping, metal spinning, heat treating and other metalworking processes such as casting, CNC machining or stamping. Thirty-five companies belong to The Metalworking Resource Group.
