S. R. White Carving makes individually carved and handpainted duck decoys, shorebirds, songbirds, fish, nautical, and folk art woodcarvings. They are individually carved of kiln dried white pine, handpainted with acrylic paints, then given our unique "10 step antique process". This was developed after years of experimentation and provides a beautiful distressed patina that enhances the character of the wood. Each piece is branded with the "WHITE" name, dated with a "SRW" copyright brand, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Steven Richard White Sr. began his woodcarving career in 1980 when he established S. R. White Gunstocking; focusing on the crafting of early American flintlock rifles. It was during this time that he met and married his wife, Linda. Shortly after their marriage in 1985, they began S. R. White Carving, with Steve carving and Linda painting. The two talents combined to produce their own style of decoys and folk art carvings. Through the years, the business has grown and they are assisted by several skilled craftsmen. Steve is the master carver putting the finishing details on each piece with his files and chisels. Linda keeps busy supervising the painting and being the business manager. Each year they research books and photos to create their original designs by S. R. White.

The Whites continue to create stylized reproductions of early American Folk Art that are destined to be heirlooms for future generations.
