TechEmpower Builds Wireless Training Tool

TechEmpower Builds Wireless Application to Showcase WAP Training Tool

El Segundo - October 25, 2000 - e-Business solutions developer builds a cutting-edge WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) program to showcase WAP technology as a training tool for business, schools and governments.

QwizMe - an application that gives organizations the ability to create a quiz on their products, services or any subject and deliver it to anyone via a wireless, handheld device - was recently demonstrated at the Online Learning 2000 Conference held in Denver, Colorado by TechEmpower Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Tony Karrer.

Besides demonstrating QwizMe as a real world example of this new technology and as a showcase of some of the potential benefits of WAP technology, Dr. Karrer also used the opportunity to present TechEmpower as a technology leader - with the ability to quickly turn new technology research into the development of real-world applications.

"Using QwizMe, companies can provide testing, training or other content to people in the field; schools can continue to educate their students offline; and governments can use QwizMe to provide testing, training or recreation to their employees," says Dr. Karrer.

The timing of the QwizMe Project from TechEmpower couldn't be better. Independent research firm Computer Economics predicts that soon, private companies, colleges and universities, military organizations and a number of primary and secondary schools will start using wireless Internet devices for education and training purposes.

According to Computer Economics, the advantage of wireless Internet training terminal (WITT) devices is that they provide an anywhere, anytime platform for education by not requiring external power sources or physical connections to the Internet.

WAP technology may be the next big thing, but it takes companies like TechEmpower to identify, quantify, apply and construct scalable mobile features and functionality that will work across a multitude of Internet, Network and Wireless technologies.
