German ERP and e-business vendor ABAS at SYSTEMS 2000
Wow, now that's what I call Service!
The SYSTEMS trade fair in Munich will be opening its doors once again this year from 6 to 10 November. In Hall A1, Stand A1.346 ABAS Software AG, along with its software partners and cooperative partners, will be presenting current highlights, software and services spanning all aspects of the IT world. The visitor to the fair will be provided with plenty of exciting ideas for their computer programs in the business field and in relation to internet intentions.
The focal point of this year's appearance is the ERP software 'abas-EKS' and the e-Business software 'TROJA'. Internet Shop, product catalogue, internet customer service, technical support, complete handling of B2B and B2C business transactions on the internet and intranet - the e-Business software from ABAS supports inter-company transactions over the internet worldwide and in several languages.
ERP System and Warehouse Management on the Internet
ERP integration, expandability and adaptability of functions, production cycles and layout, superb flexibility and upgradability - all of this is part and parcel of the standard repertoire of 'TROJA'. Modern internet technology like XML (Extensible Markup Language), Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) and Java form the
foundation. 'TROJA' can easily be integrated into existing IT environments and communicates with ERP, PPC and warehouse management systems. Up-to-the-minute information like prices, stock levels or delivery data are always available to the user online and without any time loss. A firewall ensures that company data are constantly under protection. Only genuine business partners who have identified themselves are given the authority to access order-related data. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Tailored to suit the customer
ABAS, the system manufacturer with 350 employees, goes so far as to ensure that the TROJA user can also greatly improve and expand his/her range of services. For example, the user can provide a product catalogue to his/her customers with a range of products specially tailored to suit the customer and with customised prices and conditions. With just a few 'clicks' you can integrate animated explosion drawings or CAD drawings and video films which illustrate product use. Up-to-date ERP data like price or delivery period can be obtained from the internet product catalogue at any time. Directly after the online order has been placed in the shopping basket the order is automatically reported to the sales department in abas-EKS. The customer receives an order confirmation. Time and workload have been considerably reduced where recurrent orders are concerned. Customers can call up or edit previous orders via the shopping basket history as well as place a new order online.
Additional IT solutions
The ABAS partners will demonstrate IT solutions which have been tested in practice and which work in conjunction with 'abas-EKS': Keywords here are the following, for example: IT Outsourcing/ASP (Application Service Providing), Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management, Data Warehousing, Knowledge Management, Production data and Staff Attendance Recording, Integrated Project Management, Document Management, Sales Information Systems as well as CAD integration. Qualified contact partners are available in each of these areas.
ABAS at the ERP Forum at SYSTEMS 2000 - ASP Workshop
In addition to this, the ABAS Software AG will also be contributing as specialist and sponsor at the ERP public forum (A2, Stand A2.303/304). On Tuesday, 7 November 2000 between 10 a.m. and 12 noon, ABAS will be holding a workshop on the up-to-the-minute topic of 'ASP'. Application Service Providing - ASP for short - refers to the regular outsourcing of software applications or entire IT
departments. Customised ASP solutions - based on its ERP system 'abas-EKS' - are developed by the Karlsruhe software house together with regional partner companies for the small to medium-sized company.
The industry-independent ERP standard software supports all transactions in production planning, warehouse management, the financials and administration. Over 1100 companies worldwide are already using it. Hardware independence, compatibility with various operating systems in addition to numerous interfaces to other computer systems - all of these features would appear to indicate that it was predestined for straightforward use with ASP applications in small to medium-sized companies in the industry, trade and services sector.
