Oriole Systems subsidiary joins forces with IndustriOS Ltd.; licenses Emart Software to target manufacturers

Vancouver, October 31, 2000 -- Oriole Systems Inc. (CDNX-OOL) today announced that IndustriOS Ltd. of Mississauga, Ontario, a developer of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, has signed an agreement with Oriole subsidiary, Qlogix Inc. of Toronto to license the Companys proprietary software product Emart Design SW. The contract includes an agreement whereby IndustriOS is licensed to resell the Emart product to its installed base of over 550 companies on a royalty basis. The contract value of the base license is $150,000 with potential additional annual service fees extending over a period of 15 years. Qlogix will also provide co-development services to IndustriOS and its clients at favorable rates.

Emart is an advanced software product, designed as a platform, or main building block, on which both large and small enterprises can build their Internet and Intranet Web presence. Emart allows for an enterprise to present a single Web entry point for both Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer transactions. IndustriOS will be enhancing the existing Emart functionality to provide its customers with the basis for Web-based transactions in the areas of Sales, Production and Purchasing. Additional plans call for the ability of IndustriOS customers to add customer and supplier-specific websites to personalize B2B transactions.
