Cybacom Solves the Internet Credit Card Problem
OJAI, CA - Cybacom has released the CybaCard, a virtual credit card for use on the Internet. The CybaCard lets consumers shop with the power and convenience of a credit card, but without the usual concerns about security and privacy.
"This is a revolutionary new product just for the Internet," says Richard Schofield, Cybacom's founder and president. "The CybaCard is an extension of your existing credit card, offering a whole new level of privacy, security and control."
Tens of millions of people have made online purchases with credit cards. Concerns about security and privacy, however, have slowed the e-commerce boom. "People just don't trust it," says Schofield, "and rightly so. It is commonplace for online companies to sell your information, and online credit card fraud is at disturbing levels."
The CybaCard offers many features not possible with a credit card. For example:
- You can turn off your CybaCard when you are not using it, preventing unauthorized transactions.
- When asked for the name on the card, you can enter your name, or 'Cybacom Member'. This allows you to be anonymous whenever you think it is appropriate.
- You can control the available limit on your CybaCard to suit you own needs.
- You can receive email notification of all purchases on your CybaCard, allowing early detection of unusual activity.
The CybaCard is accepted everywhere online that credit cards are accepted. "It really is a powerful tool," says Schofield. "It puts the customer back in control."
Cybacom is taking a limited number of early applicants at www.cybacom.com, and will be officially open for business in mid-November.
