Beat the IT skills shortage - JungleDev offer scarce skills at low cost

No-one involved in the IT industry can have failed to notice that there is an acute skills shortage, particularly in the internet and e-commerce arenas. JungleDev.com, a division of London based Net Tech Limited, are addressing this problem by offering scarce development skills to the UK computer industry. They specialise in e-commerce and other internet related skills such as Java, C++ and ASP. Using staff based in their offices located in Islamabad, Pakistan, JungleDev are able to offer scarce skills at low cost, typically a third to a half of UK rates. Clients can hire individual developers or entire project teams. Staff are mostly graduates with experience with internationally recognised companies. Contracts are flexible allowing clients to meet their constantly changing demands. Clients also get project management support, both in Pakistan and the UK. If more ‘hands-on management is required, client management can be flown out to and based in Islamabad. Key development staff can also be temporarily located at clients sites if necessary.

JungleDev M.D., Simon Oliphant said : ‘We have been developing software remotely since 1996 and have completed projects for a number of international clients. We believe that remote development has now come of age. The concept is right for clients wishing to develop applications efficiently at low cost; for developers who wish to remain in their own countries and for the developing countries who are able to keep their brightest people at home

Recently the government has proposed allowing 100,000 people with important skills into the UK. Computer skills are among those listed as critical for the development of the UK economy. Anderson Consulting estimate that 850,000 IT jobs will be created in the UK between now and 2003. They also predict that 85,000 of these requirements will be unfilled by this time.

Jungledev.com is the human resources arm of Net Tech Limited which was formed as a UK company handling the design, management and marketing of internet products and services such as the recently released CcDrive.com. Our overseas subsidiary which has been actively trading since 1996 is involved in project development, management and recruitment.

Net Tech was founded by Simon Oliphant and Muhammed Arshed, both experienced IT consultants with more than 10 years experience. Staff in Islamabad are managed by Shahid Khan who is a founding member of staff.
