In a recent review of Later Than You Think, Michael Allison (CEO/Founder of

Although I have always been a jazz fan, the spoken word aspect was never one of my favorites. This band has definitely changed that perspective."
Copus, a word not found in Websters dictionary, means 'century work say the
group's founders Royal Kent and Wendy Loomis. The poet and composer met four years ago, by chance, at a popular open mic series held at San Franciscos
Café International. Soon afterward they began collaborating and the result is
poetry and music that fit like hand and glove. "Wendys piano soothes the
soul while Royals spoken style flows like a river" was a fan's description
at a recent live show.
Later Than You Think was independently produced and released under the Copus Music label. The ensembles next offering is due to be released early next
year, entitled "The Fool". To learn more about Copus, please visit the bands
