MARQUIS GALLERY JOINS HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY B2B INDUSTRY SITES
In a move that is altering the manner in which corporate artwork is being purchased, the San Francisco Bay Area based Marquis Gallery has joined the Zoho.com, PurchasePro.com and HGlobe.com hospitality marketplace exchanges as a Fine Arts merchant. The Marquis Gallery will be offering offering hotel properties, restaurants and participating exchange businesses a selection of over 300 framed and mounted artist signed canvas and Museum quality stock Giclee reprints and original works at wholesale pricing.
We foresee the future of fine art sales to corporate and hospitality industry businesses being generated from these vertical B2B business exchanges ," noted gallery owner Mark Vickers, and we wish to be a part of this evolution in corporate purchasing procedures. The fine arts industry has been slow to acknowledge the inevitable changes in buying procedures; but building decor, sculpture and wall art require systematized buying procedures within organizations just as any other product or service commodity. Our association with these three major exchanges enable us to expand our distribution and recognition base. With this expanded distribution, we can also offer lower pricing points."
The Marquis Gallery specializes in the contemporary paintings, sculpture, photography and Feng Shui artwork of internationally exhibited and recognized artists Marques Vickers and Wayne Kohler. Vickers was recently commissioned to create two sculptures for the new SBA/Cisco Systems E-Commerce Center in downtown San Jose and his work was selected for exhibition at the MAC21 Contemporary Art Fair in Marbella, Spain and EXPOART 2000 in Cologne, Germany. Kohler was the graphic art designer for the America True" racing boat which was a quarterfinalist in the 2000 Americas Cup race in Auckland, New Zealand.
The Zoho, PurchasePro and HGlobe merchant capabilities allow us the flexibility to offer our lower priced limited edition produced reprinted art," observed Vickers, yet also original and larger ticket items to each user base. Since the actual purchaser for hospitality and restaurant decor is often not the actual owners, but their interior design team or department, we need to provide maximum flexibility in ordering options. Vertical exchanges enable traditionally independently purchased products such as fine art to be integrated into the overall corporate purchasing strategy and budgeting process."
