Children's Hunger Relief Fund Launches an Internet First for Kids:
Parents & Children Help Needy Kids While Holiday Shopping
Santa Rosa, CA, November 20--Just in time for the holiday gift-giving season, KidtoKid.org, the newest Children's website, unveiled its first site designed to enable children to "reach around the virtual globe to help a less fortunate child." http://www.kidtokid.org
"Our unique 'Kid's Katalog' allows children, with their parents help, to select from a number of life-enhancing gifts (food, clothes, medical care, etc.) to give a child in Africa or Central America. A $5.00 'Luv Box' of toys, candy, hygiene items and vegetable seeds is expected to be our most popular gift," said Webmaster Donna Lompre.
Kids are urged to follow the example in the hit movie "Pay it Forward" by "Clicking it Forward" to 3 of their friends, who then contact 3 of their friends until 50,000 "Luv Boxes" have been distributed.
Children's Hunger Relief Fund, which sponsors the non-profit site, hopes to distribute 50,000 boxes by Christmas. After children make their selection, parents are offered one-stop holiday shopping through the site's 100-store e-mall (with 5%-20% of purchase prices going to help children).
Lompre is clearly excited by her new project: "Working together, kids can help change the world! It's easy... just click on kidtokid.org and take the world one step forward to being a better place."

Children's Hunger Relief Fund, which launched the site on their 25th anniversary, delivered $15,000,000 worth of relief assistance with just a 3% administrative overhead in 1999.
