Bikes or Bust Toys for Tots

Jerry Goodwin of Moultrie Georgia started what he hopse will be an annual event in December of 1999. Jerry rode a bicycle 150 miles in three days and got sponsors to sponsor him on a per mile basis. All of the monet went to buy bicycle for needy children. The money was given to the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program at the Sam's Club parking lot in Albany Georgia.

This year Jerry will be riding in excess of 200 miles for the same cause. Over 1000.00 was raised by the ride. The money from the ride was combined with money and bikes in a special promotion by B-100 Radio in Albany Georgia that raised over 500 Bikes, Helmets and pads for new bikes for needy children. The ride will cover many areas of southwest Georgia and other riders, and bike clubs are welcome to participate.
