**Reid, Popper and Worrel join Solomon on New Release**
(PRWEB) December 18, 2000 -- 15 December 2000 -- It is a rare occasion when a breakout CD explores a positive orientation in lyrics with humanism and a collection of sounds that fuses rock, reggae, Eastern and New Age in the World Music and alternative genres.
Lead singer and Philadelphia native, Solomon, a ‘transcendent personality and nomadic percussionist, and Dovie Music exec producer, Seth Breitman, have garnered instrumentals from diverse sectors of remarkable talent for a first release. Among these are Vernon Reid (Living Color), Blues Travelers John Popper, Mark Ribot, Trey Gunn (King Crimson), Melvin Gibbs, Hank Roberts, Bernie Worrell (Parliament/Funkadelic,Talking Heads with David Byrne), and master arranger, Duke Ellington Orchestra member, Sayyd Alkhabyrr.
Solomons strong emotions are complemented on this CD by the methodical approach of his long time acquaintance Joe Blaney, who recently mixed for Prince, Keith Richards and recorded Shawn Calvins Sunny Came Home.
Solomon takes twelve ‘life journeys based on the artists discovery of truth in his own life experiences from Philly kid to searching ashrams, studying mysticism in Jerusalem and drum peddling in hard core New York City. Dominique, Dear - an ode to a love set free yet held near; the semi-cosmic Straight Right To Me, and Smile, with a spirited, unplanned commercial quality, are lead tracks. They conjoin more ethnic and no less ethereal cuts, Rabbis Daughter, and self-effigy, King Solomon, thanks to background participant Yossi Fine, whose Israeli reggae sounds caravanned with David Bowie.
Dovie Music, a private label representing rock and contemporary artists, is the sole distributor of Solomon, an original music CD sold in the United States and abroad. Dovie Music debuts new and enlightening talent with ‘consciousness from headquarters and studios in Burlington, Vermont.
Solomon" is presently available on CD through Dovie Music with sound clips at the Solomon web site, www.Solomon.fm, toll-free from CD Baby at 1-800-448-6369, and at select music retailers.
