Zarr launches a unique exam preparation service for A Level Students

Students sitting A Level Business Studies modules in January are now able to sit a mock exam courtesy of Zarr's Student Zone at www.zarr.com. Zarr has teamed up with an A Level examiner who will set a unique mock examination for each user of the service. The completed mock is returned to Zarr, who then forward it to the examiner who will mark it and prepare an individual report on each exam paper.

The report will highlight the kind of things that an A Level examiner will be looking for, when students sit the examination - giving students a head start in order to get a top mark. The service costs 25, and this unique service is not available anywhere else in the UK - another first for Zarr's Student Zone. From the fee, 20 will be given to charity.

Zarrs Student Zone, launched in October 2000, allows students to buy and sell lecture notes, presentations and assignments online. It is the first website of its kind where students actually make money from each copy of their work sold. There were initial concerns that students would use the website as a substitute for their own individual study, but the founders of the website, Hannah and Mark Reynolds, believe that the website has real merit as a learning resource for students. This service goes one step further by allowing students individual feedback from an examiner in preparation for their forthcoming exams.
