Hawaiian Nonprofit Organization Launches Innovative, Affordable Travel Adventures
for Body and Mind
HONOLULU, HAWAII - Feb.15, 2000- The Hawaii Rainforest Foundation, a Non-Profit
Organization located in Honolulu, Hawaii, has launched a unique program for travelers of all
ages looking to experience the fascinating diversity and natural beauty of Oahu. Hawaii
Rainforest Foundation (HRF), is offering "FREE" educational adventures, which include hiking,
snorkeling, boogie boarding, Hawaiian style fishing and mountain biking combined with guided
rainforest excursions creatively designed to inform participants about Hawaii's incredible natural
resources.
"This is not your typical run of the mill textbook experience. Far from it. Our program promotes
conservation through education and is instrumental in developing personal participation in the
preservation and maintenance of Oahu's hiking trails and beaches", says Master Guide Mitch
Berger, Director of Hawaii Rainforest Foundation. Berger is well known in Hawaii as an expert
on the outdoors. His background includes the founding of Action Hawaii Adventures, which has
enabled thousands of visitors to safely experience Oahu's vast outdoor resources.
HRF is committed to the Mission of enhancing awareness of Hawaii's fragile ecosystems and
working to protect, preserve and beautify local Hawaiian trails and beaches. HRF is working to
develop strategic partnerships with corporations and concerned citizens to create opportunities
for involvement to promote a safer, healthier, more livable Hawaiian environment.
At the conclusion of the daily adventures, guests are provided an opportunity to make a "free
will" donation to offset the cost of HRF's educational programs as well as local beach and trail
maintenance and clean up programs. HRF operates daily adventures and reservations are handled
on a first come-first serve basis. Mitch Berger is available for Media interviews and Press Trips
will be scheduled through Priority Communications.
