Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Fundamentals Public Seminar

Tec-Ease, Inc. is offering six Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Fundaments public seminars. This seminar presents understandable user friendly tools that may be used by your entire team to get it right the first time. By using these methods, design decisions are based on fact rather than emotion and past practices. Participants will learn about datums, form controls, orientation controls, location controls, runout controls, and profile controls.

Who Should Attend?
This workshop is designed for quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, design engineers, drafters, blueprint readers, machinists, supervisors, and anyone dealing with machining parts or reading drawings.

About the Seminar
You'll discover the major pitfalls of traditional coordinate tolerancing - and how Geometric Tolerancing overcomes them. Then, starting with your basic blueprint knowledge, you'll learn the symbols, terminology and rules of Geometric Tolerancing as prescribed in the current standard (ASME Y14.5M-1994).

About the Instructors
The Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Fundamentals course is taught by Don Day, Frank Bakos or Brett Lance. All are certified Senior Level GD&T Professionals, two of whom are members of national standards committees.

Dates and Locations
This seminar will be offered in Manchester, NH (April 3 - 4), Baltimore, MD (April 4 - 5), Fond du Lac, WI (May 2 -3), Syracuse, NY (May 9 -10), Raleigh, NC (May 9 -10), and Cleveland, OH (May 23 - 24).

Tec-Ease, Inc. will also be offering a Six Sigma Methods in Product Design in Rochester, NY May 23 and 24. This class covers methods utilized to achieve a Six Sigma product design. Topics include: What is Six Sigma design and what is the rationale for using it,
the Six Steps to Six Sigma Quality Reporting (Cp, Cpk, and measurement capability, DPMU levels) and Basic statistics. Class exercises will allow for applied learning of concepts. This course is taught by Randy Horning, a Six Sigma Black Belt.
