Tailored to taste cookbooks offer promise sure to please recipes, available at MyMealPlan.com

ANN ARBOR, MI -- For less than it costs for a night of take-out, you can get a cookbook filled with sure-to-please entrees based on your familys preferences at http://www.mymealplan.com. Ushering in this new concept in publishing is Marianne Blaesing, content director of the Internet-based meal planning resource.

Most cooks know the frustration of impulsively buying a cookbook to find less than a handful of recipes matching their personal tastes," said Blaesing. Weve solved this problem in our cookbooks by using our web-based, taste matching system."

According to Blaesing, a 300-recipe, customized cookbook is as easy as a few clicks of the mouse. Customers log onto www.mymealplan.com, click on the personalized cookbook icon, complete a brief survey of preferences, and fill out an order form. Your new cookbook ($24.95) ships within 24 hours.

To compile the recipes for a cookbook, MyMealPlan ranks the customers food preferences through its proprietary YumOmeter" technology. The YumOmeter then sorts through thousands of regional and ethnic recipes to match those preferences.

For added personalization, customers create their own titles. People love titling these cookbooks, especially when giving them as gifts," said Blaesing. Weve even had someone wanting to resell her cookbook at her restaurant, and others interested in using them for fundraisers."

In addition to the cookbook, customers gain access to timesaving and health-related information about their recipes from the MyMealPlan web site. By keying in the unique ID number that comes with each book, you can get free customized meal plans complete with grocery lists, nutritional information and 'fridge sheets" that tell your family whats for dinner.

Recipes offered in MyMealPlan cookbooks are simple to prepare and are based on you and your familys preferences. For example, indicating a strong preference for white fish" and tomatoes" on the MyMealPlan web site might yield recipes similar to the following for Mexican Orange Roughy."

MEXICAN ORANGE ROUGHY

2 tsp. olive oil
˝ C. onion
2 garlic cloves
1 14-˝-oz. can stewed tomatoes
12 oz. Orange Roughy, thawed

In order to produce the cookbooks, MyMealPlan partnered with Perfect Systems LLC, a pioneer in short-run book production. For more information or to order your own personalized cookbook, visit the MyMealPlan web site at http://www.mymealplan.com.
