INDUSTRY-STANDARD I2C PC CARD - NOW IN PCI FORMAT
Victor, New York. Saelig Company announces PCI90 - the only available PCI-format I2C-bus communications adapter. Made in Europe, this new board complements Calibre UK's existing industry-standard range of ISA format I2C bus adapters (ICA90/93) - used the world over for several years.
I2C is a two-wire bus that is widely used in
CALIBRE'S NEW PCI-TO-I2C ADAPTER television and audio systems, power supplies and other systems to keep cable connections to a minimum. I2C is now also being used for PC and server networking in Intel's IPMI implementation. PCI90 allows PC users to easily gain control of I2C systems in test, development and manufacturing situations using self-configuring PCI slots. PCI90 supports single and multi-master I2C operations and can also be programmed as a slave device.
32-bit Windows DLLs are included, giving users an easy software development path without requiring specialist PCI or Windows I/O knowledge - great for customer-specific applications.
For new I2C users wanting a quick start with the bus, ready-to-run WINI2CPCI Windows 95/98/NT software provides all the common I2C functions and also includes a unique real-time I2C bus monitor/data-logger for investigating bus activity.
PCI90 provides an easily-installed, cost-effective solution to I2C bus communications for software or hardware developers or test engineers.
