What's New at Islamic Paths - SPEED and FREE

Islamic Paths is a new Web Site dedicated to Islam and the Islamic Community. We are dedicated to bring information on Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims in order for all religions to recognize and concentrate on what we share in common and ignore the differences that divide.

Islamic Paths has recently upgraded its site to improve speedier downloading and add new features.

What's New Posting - March 3, 2000

(1) We have started to optimized all of our graphics on the site. As of
this writing we have completed all of the graphics for the menus and
start-up pages. The next set of graphics to be optimized will be the
'Discover' section. We trust you will noticed a difference in the loading
of the pages. Most graphics were reduced, on average, 50% with some
crunched up to 90%!

(2) We have enhanced the search function from each web page by installing
a search link from AltaVista. The revenue derived from your search using
AltaVista will be used to fund our various charitable activities. So I ask
each of you to make use of this feature for your web searching.

(3) We have added search capabilities to Islamic Paths and is now located on
the search button on the main menu.

(4) We have added FREE E-Mail to our site in order to expand our community
of brothers and sisters. I invite each of you to join and invite your
friends and relatives to enroll in this web based E-Mail system. You will
always be one click away from your mail when visiting the site as we
installed user and password boxes on the top of each side menu.

(5) We have discarded the previous web site discussion forum in favour of joining
Coolboards and the power of their "community" system of discussion
boards. We pray you will check them out and participate in the various
discussions. The new discussion forums are Islamic Paths, Qur'anic Paths, Women in Islam and Conversion Unto Him. Please drop us a note and tell us what you think of
this powerful new addition to Islamic Paths and suggest other groups for
our consideration.

(6) On an administrative note, we have registered with more search engines
and have added tags to the various pages to allow search engines to
search and develop their databases.
We also added more FAQ's to this section.

(7) We added an International News Feed direct to our site and, Insha
Allah, will add more specialty news feeds when the time permits.

(8) It has been a fairly busy week with these new enhancements and will
return to adding articles, Insha Allah, next week.

Islamic Paths is a non-profit charitable organization registered in Indonesia. We have many charitable projects supporting orphaned children, education scholarships for all grades, and teacher support programs. In addition, we continue to publish the Muslim Executive and Expatriate quarterly newsletter, host monthly gathering in the Islamic Community in Jakarta, Indonesia and host a weekly Qur'anic study group.
