MacTreasures' Computer Donation Program Goes International

The announcement 3 weeks ago by MacTreasures, of it's Macintosh Computer School Donation program, has resulted in many computers being donated to schools within the United States. The announcement has also brought forth schools outside of the continental United States requesting donations, including the Virgin Islands, Canada, England and Bolivia.

MacTreasures maintains a listing of both schools and donators. Donators are provided a listing of schools in their city, state and/or country. Currently some cities and states are without schools or matching donators. Volunteer help to set up computers has also been offered in some areas.

Schools wishing to receive donations may send an email to unusual@mactreasures.com, providing information on the school, its need for Macintosh computers and relevant contact information.

Individuals or businesses wishing to donate Macintosh equipment to a school should send an email to unusual@mactreasures.com, providing a listing of computer equipment and contact information. Donations must be in good working condition.

The Macintosh Computer Donation Program, compliments the Macintosh School Gift Certificate program. The School Gift Certificate program helps schools purchase Macintosh software, upgrade boards, etc.

Current listings include approximately 4,000 commercial unique and hard-to-find Macintosh software, hardware, and Newton products not found on retail shelves and 4,500 titles on the MacTreasures Education site for schools and teachers.
