Margaret Ruvoldt Associates, Inc. announces the official launch of its new website,
InternsNet.com. InternsNet.com is a job search site devoted solely to internships.
Students may create a user profile, post their resume, and register for email alerts when internships matching their profile are posted. The site features extensive search capabilities that reflect the specific criteria of interest to students seeking internships.
Employers may post internships, create a company profile and search the database of available students.
The site also provides articles targeted to both students and employers, discussion groups, polls and a weekly advice column.
The site is free to students. Employers pay a listing fee that varies based on a simple three-tier account system.
"On other job sites, designed for the experienced job market, internships seem to be an afterthought" says Margaret Ruvoldt, President. "InternsNet.com was created to address the unique needs of the internship market."
Dr. Jean Phillips, a faculty member of the Rutgers University School of Management and Labor Relations, says "Internships are a valuable experience for both undergraduate and masters-level students. Internships not only expose students to what their chosen
career really involves, but it gives them the opportunity to get an in-depth look at a potential future employer while developing important career skills. Employers gain both through the work done by the interns and by getting an insight as to whether they want to pursue the intern as a full-time hire. InternsNet.com greatly facilitates the internship matching process, and will benefit both employers and internship-seekers tremendously."
With our teams combined experience in corporate college recruiting, strategic human resources planning and Internet development, we expect InternsNet.com to quickly become the leading internship site on the Web," says Ruvoldt.
